I don’t understand how it’s still so hot everyday in Los Angeles! Once again I had to take my outfit pictures without my jacket on because it was just too hot. I paired today’s look with my cropped white blazer to make this look modest for church. The other day I ran into Kohl’s to pick some items up for my bathroom when I saw this dress hanging up. I rarely go into Kohl’s and never shop for clothes there, but this white blue striped front zip flare dress jumped out to me and I thought it was super adorable. Apt. 9 had a ton of similar style dresses that were all super affordable. I love the fun print and especially love the fit and flare to this dress.
Happy Sunday everyone! I wore this adorable red striped eyelet dress that I got from J. Crew factory. I love the cut of this dress and it fits perfectly. I originally bought this dress because it was a perfect work dress. To make this dress modest for church I wore a black cardigan over this. Since it was 85 degrees this morning when I left for church, I took pictures without the cardigan since I was already sweating.
At the last-minute I was able to make it to my friend’s birthday party and of course I had no time to find a dress. Thankfully I have tons of random black dresses saved up in my closet. For work and red carpets I always wear black dresses, so when I see a cute one I usually buy it and just save it for a future event. Today I was so thankful that I was able to wear one of those dresses I never got around to wearing. This adorable black pleated maxi dress was perfect for this last-minute event. When I’m not sure how dressy or the location of an event, I usually resort to wearing black to play it safe.
I bought this adorable floral print collar shift dress from ASOS almost a year ago. Because my closet is a mess, I just now found it hanging in the back. Sadly since I waited so long to post this look, the dress is sold out. Luckily ASOS did have some other cute collar dresses that I’ve linked above. I loved this particular dress because of the two prints. It’s hard to see here, but the floral print is different from the black and white printed collar.
Manicure of the week featuring my new go to color, OPI Tiramisu For Two! I love this nude pink tone which is perfect for everyday. In doors with some lighting it looks extremely nude. In natural sun light the pink tones really come out and it looks much more pink than nude. Either way, I love this color and just purchased it in gel and regular polish.
For today’s church outfit I kept it plain and simple. I paired this adorable Painted Threads floral maxi skirt with a simple cable knit sweater for today’s Sunday Best. I bought this Painted Threads floral maxi skirt awhile ago, so sadly it’s sold out. I love the cut of this skirt and absolutely love the color. I originally bought this skirt during the Winter time but am just not getting around to wearing it. Since this skirt is sold out, I have linked some other amazing maxi skirts that caught my eye. The two Chic Wish skirts that I linked are my absolute favorites!
So happy it’s finally the weekend! For today’s casual weekend look I went with this red spaghetti strap midi dress. I grabbed this dress from Forever 21 and sadly I don’t see the exact same one online anymore but I’ve linked similar ones. I love this ed spaghetti strap midi dress and the ones I’ve linked above because it’s easy to throw to on and run out the door. These midi dresses are also perfect with low top sneakers or sandals for a causal day look. You can also take a casual dress like this and dress it up with pumps like I did today.
Purple NIKE AIR HUARACHE: Finish Line
Today’s kicks are these bright in your face purple Nike Air Huarache sneakers. I’m obsessed with these so much! I was on Finish Line’s website looking at sneakers when I came across these purples ones. I was a little scared that they were going to be too bright and obnoxious. I recently wore them to set paired with black leggings and a white top and everyone loved them. I think the key point is to wear muted tones when you wear a bright pair of sneakers so you let them be the statement.
Another Sunday and another church outfit! For today’s Sunday’s best, I went with this adorable floral midi flare skirt. This floral midi flare skirt is actually a co-ord set from boohoo. The full set which includes a bralet and this adorable skirt is the perfect look for Summer. I love co-ords because you get so many looks out of one purchase. For today’s look I paired a simple pink top with this adorable skirt and added nude sandals. I’ve also worn the bralet top paired with high-waisted jeans for another evening look.
After a crazy week of work and spending all night painting a green screen floor I wanted to spend all day in bed. Of course at 6:00am I woke up and couldn’t fall asleep. Since I was up I decided to get up and get ready for the day. Today is my only day off so I’ve got a ton of running around and catching up to do. I threw on this casual taupe bodycon maxi dress from Forever 21 and called it day. Forever 21 has some super comfortable and inexpensive maxi dresses that I always love to stock up on for Summer.
